Our client is currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager. You would play a pivotal role in ensuring that all elements and process areas of the engineering department and site services are run as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.

You will be required to lead and implement the core maintenance and compliance agenda for their manufacturing site ensuring visible and sustainable results via a continuous improvement approach.

 

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the Engineering agenda for Manufacturing Site ensuring reliability through effective delivery of a robust maintenance system plan via dedicated on site team and 3rd parties aligned to for core maintenance.
  • Manage and Deliver maintenance performance through the Engineering team.
  • Provide the specific Engineering and Technical skills required for maintenance strategy and standard requirements into implementation plans for the sites and the delivery teams.
  • Implement the appropriate management systems and business processes to promote and support operations
  • Manage budgets and support contracts covering Core maintenance activities to deliver the agenda, this will include direct and indirect management of the relevant spend and contract management.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships & systems with employees and partners.
  • Lead the governance, management and execution of all planned preventative, reactive (emergency) maintenance tasks & minor project works across all functions through the engineering teams.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Degree or equivalent within Engineering Environment.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a supervisory role.
  • Significant, relevant experience within a Food Manufacturing Company.
  • Experience with Large Maintenance Budget control.
  • Excellent leadership skills required with demonstrable history of leading change and influencing people to deliver sustainable results.
  • Motivated by the challenge of continuous improvement with up-to-date knowledge of the tools and techniques required to lead an asset management program.
  • Ability to work on your own and within a team environment.
  • Experience within Food Manufacturing environment desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • “Can-do” attitude.
