Environmental & Sustainability Advisor
Job Location: Mid Ulster

INFORM3 are recruiting for an Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of environmental and sustainability practices across our operations. The successful candidate will help ensure compliance with environmental legislation, promote sustainable business initiatives, and contribute to achieving environmental performance and carbon reduction objectives.
Working closely with operational teams, management and external stakeholders, you will provide practical advice, monitor environmental performance and drive continuous improvement across the business.
Environmental & Sustainability Advisor Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental legislation, permits and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and support the Environmental Management System, including ISO 14001 compliance where applicable.
- Carry out environmental inspections, audits and site assessments.
- Monitor environmental performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support waste reduction, recycling and resource efficiency initiatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing sustainability and carbon reduction strategies.
- Collect, analyse and report environmental data, including energy, waste, water and carbon emissions.
- Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Prepare reports for internal management and external stakeholders.
- Deliver environmental awareness training and toolbox talks.
- Support environmental planning for projects and operational activities.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, contractors and consultants when required.
- Keep up to date with changes in environmental legislation and industry best practice.
- Promote a positive environmental culture throughout the organisation.
Environmental & Sustainability Advisor Essential Criteria
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in an environmental or sustainability role.
- Good knowledge of UK and Northern Ireland environmental legislation.
- Understanding of Environmental Management Systems, particularly ISO 14001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Full UK driving licence.
