The Company

An award-winning construction and property development company operating in both Ireland and overseas, are seeking an Estimator.  By joining their team, you will be working for a large company with projects up to the value of £30 million across Education, Leisure, Commercial Retail, Health & Pharmaceutical.  You will gain invaluable experience and work for a company that places heavy emphasis on renewable energy and forward thinking.

Responsibilities

• Careful review of the tender information
• Issue sub-contract tender packages with the correct package specific drawings, specification, and scope documents
• Deliver projects and results in a set time scale.
• Obtain and review sub-contractor quotations.
• Preparation of the tender costs and discuss with directors
• Preparation of any tender programme
• Collate and prepare all documents/deliverables into the submission
• Manage the tender process so that tenders are prepared in time for the submission deadline.
• Follow up submitted tenders and respond quickly to any Post Tender Queries that are raised by the client.
• Undertake any post tender negotiations that may be required.
• Be able to hand over a secured project to the delivery team.

Requirements

• Good general knowledge of the construction industry

• Excellent numerical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good knowledge and ability to use a range of IT packages.
• Good team working skills.
