The Company

Main contractor and design build partner running from 1975 are experiencing a higher volume of projects and they are expanding their team with an experienced Estimator. There will be a promising future for this role and the individual’s progression.

If you have more than 2 years with another main contractor, they are happy to invest in your skillset and knowledge to execute the role to the best of your ability.

Currently the projects they are working on delve into pharmaceuticals, commercial, residential, healthcare and many more, projects can range up to the value of €70 million, so this is a superb opportunity for you to price up projects of all sizes.

The Role

• Liaising with the client
• Researching materials, equipment and labour costs.
• Gathering quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Assessing the levels of risk on a project.
• Analysing company data, exchange rates and prices using software packages.
• Preparing and submitting quotations for work.
• Helping with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities.
• Monitoring the stages of a project to make sure that costs are kept in line with forecasts.
• Working closely with design team, construction managers and planners.

Criteria

• Minimum of 3+ year experience
• You will be degree educated in a construction related discipline
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Strong team work skills
• High attention to detail and strong commercial acumen to understanding project costs.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office
