The Company

Leading construction company are looking for an Estimator to join Commercial Team. This client works with both public and private sectors with high profile clients. Working across commercial, healthcare, residential, educational, also civils and office fit out. You will be tendering for projects to the value of €30 million or more. You will ideally already have a few years’ experience with a main building contractor, however our client is looking for exceptional talent that can be developed, trained to become a key player in their business.

The Role

• Manage the tender from receipt, through to submission and post tender queries.
• Liaise with and manage the internal and external tender team
• Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain, organise Bills Of Quantities production and obtain material quotes where necessary
• Evaluate returned quotations from supply chain and liaise with supply chain member to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements
• Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity
• Arrange and prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings
• Review supply chain performance quarterly
• Attend pre-qualification, mid tender and post tender interviews
• Visit sites to obtain feedback
• Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies and liaise with Clients

Criteria

• 3+ years’ experience working for main contractor/large subcontractor in Ireland/UK.
• Experience in project development for the full life cycle
• Ability to work on numerous projects at one time
• Excellent communication Skills
• Attention to detail
• High level of proficiency in IT
