The Company

Specialist contractor based in the West of Ireland are seeking an experienced estimator. Working across Ireland they are keen to bring on talented, innovative employees who not only specialise in their own area of expertise but have a keen interest in other aspects of the business.

This role will be a long-term position where you will be introduced into the company and trained and developed for the long term. It would be advantageous if you have some experience with project management and are highly proficient with Microsoft packages.

The Role

• Manage the tender from receipt, through to submission and post tender queries.
• Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain, organise Bills Of Quantities production and obtain material quotes where necessary
• Evaluate returned quotations from supply chain and liaise with supply chain member to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements
• Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity
• Arrange and prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings
• Review supply chain performance quarterly
• Attend pre-qualification, mid tender and post tender interviews
• Visit sites to obtain feedback
• Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies and liaise with Clients

Criteria

• Ideally Construction related degree
• 5+years’ experience estimating
• Excellent IT & Organisational Skills
