Our client is a well-established, award winning specialist Fitout contracting company, delivering luxury, bespoke fit outs and refurbishments mainly within the commercial field. Due to ongoing and upcoming projects, expansion and their inhouse capabilities they are on the lookout for an Estimator to join them on delivering the elite fitouts they are known across the UK, NI and Ireland for.

The role

• Preparing cost budgets and cost estimates for new projects
• Site visits to undertake surveys and attend meetings with projects teams when needed
• Assessing the type of tender, client and various other factors to determine the prioritising of all tenders
• Identify and assess risk and opportunities
• Preparation of preliminaries in conjunction with delivery teams
• Participating in final negotiations
• Liaising with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers at all levels to ensure projects are efficiently costed and managed in order to achieve company goals and targets

Requirements

• 5years+ experience in a similar Fit Out, Construction or Quantity Surveying role
• Third level education in a construction or surveying related course
• Comprehensive IT skills, to include Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• The ability to read drawings, prepare schedules of work and measure Bills of Quantities
• Have a good level of commercial insight and a good understanding of market rates as well as profit margins
• Have the ability to travel to the UK for site visits/meets when needed
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
