The Company

Building & fitout contractor based in Meath are currently on the lookout for an experienced Estimator to join their team and manage projects from start to finish. They have taken on many projects in shopping centres, pubs/bars/restaurants, and office fit-outs all with high-end finishes. Commercial Fitouts, Commercial Renovations, Office Fitouts and Office Renovations form a large part of the business with most work coming from repeat clients and design teams.

Looking for a driven, problem solving, detail orientated candidate who is looking to further their career in the right direction.

The Role

• Liaise with customers and project managers
• Cost Management, ensuring the projects remains in budget
• Prepare tendering projects
• Management of commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with customers, consultants and subcontractors
• Prepare tendering projects
• Preparing interim valuations, identifying and valuing variations
• Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations and make recommendations for placement of orders
• Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of jobs
• Manage project performance and report to management team
• Work closely with contract and site management staff to support the smooth running of the office and the site, carrying out other duties as required
• Carry out reconciliation of cost and value to date/forecast to keep the management team informed of project performance

What you need

• Hold Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Highly motivated hard-working individual who can work on their own or as part as a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Great communication skills both verbal and written
• 5+ Year’s experience in either fitout or building
