An established and highly respected construction contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team.

Working on a diverse portfolio of high-value building projects you'll play a pivotal role in preparing competitive tenders, developing accurate cost estimates and supporting the successful delivery of projects from tender stage through to contract award.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious estimator looking to join a collaborative business with a strong pipeline of work and genuine opportunities for career progression.

The Role

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
  • Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Carry out quantity take-offs and cost analysis
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
  • Liaise with design, commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process
  • Assist in risk assessments and tender adjudications
  • Ensure submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines

About You

  • Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry
  • Degree or qualification in Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Experience working for a main contractor
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Experience pricing medium to large-scale building projects
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and commercial skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficiency with estimating software
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
