Extrusion Engineer                       Co. Armagh

Have you strong knowledge and understanding of Extrusion operating and setting? Then this is the role for you! Our client based in County Armagh are looking for an experience candidate who has the ability to extrusion as an operator and must have a good attitude, team ethic, and be willing to learn.

This role will involve continental shift patterns so will require the candidate to have a certain degree of flexibility surrounding the role.

Roles Involve:

• Performs daily production activities.
• Ensure all lines are running within specified quality and production guidelines at the beginning and throughout your shift
• Assist with changeovers, die changes, start-ups, shut downs and unscheduled interventions
• Complete all required documentation, extrusion line settings, downtime tracking, quality checks and events logs.
• Help other operators when needed.
• Identifying and promptly reporting any equipment malfunction, material, safety, and or quality issues.
• Working closely with other members of the team to assure a cooperative and friendly atmosphere with regard to the daily activities of production.
• Make all required samples available for Q/C inspection as per sample schedule.
• Maintain maximum efficient use of raw materials through control of the extrusion line settings.

Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years’ experience working within a Production Environment.
• Experience and knowledge with Extrusion operation.
• Awareness of risk and hazards with excellent sense of safety and working
• Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.
• Ability to work on your own and team environment.
• “Can-do” attitude.
