Job Title – Finishing Foreman

Job Location – Galway / Limerick / Cork

Salary - €45k

About the Company

A long established family business and is acknowledged as one of the leading manufactures of superior bespoke solid doors, MDF doors, fire doors, stairs and impressive accessories throughout Ireland and the UK. They have grown their export market, supplying kitchen doors and full kitchens to the trade. Their fire doors are an important element of their exports where they have supplied to prestigious buildings in the UK.

The Role

• Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the specification programme
• Co-ordinating and managing of subcontractors
• Ensuring work is carried out safely to the highest of standards
• Managing health and safety delivery on site
• Attending weekly management team meeting 
• Maintaining the site diary – recording manpower levels for each sub-contractor and keeping detailed notes of all site activities
• Assisting with the control of plant and equipment on site
• Co-ordinating and managing of subcontractors
• Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of standards
• Dealing with all health and safety issues on site

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years General Foreman / Finishing Foreman experience, preferably within large sites
• Experience in commercial & residential
• Carpentry background
• Extensive experience in effective management of sub-contractors
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills
• PC Skills to complete timesheets, requisitions etc
