Freelance Setting Out Engineer – Wicklow
INFORM3 are currently recruiting for a Freelance Setting Out Engineer with work based in Wicklow. The candidate will work with a Civil Engineering contractor with over 40 years’ experience and knowledge in construction. The client requires a Freelance Setting Out Engineer for a setting out role on a project with over 1 month’s work and the potential of future work. The Freelance Setting Out Engineer will be responsible for the correct setting out, surveying and drawing management of works carried out on the.
Freelance Setting Out Engineer Responsibilities:
- Report to Senior Management on site activities
- Complete Setting out, levelling and surveying of the site.
- Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
- Complete checks to ensure materials are used in accuracy to specifications and drawings.
- Complete toolbox briefings with site team
- Supervise the site team and motivate them through example
- Ensure Health and Safety is adhered too
- Resolve technical difficulties when they arise
- Complete any other duties as and when required
Candidate Specification:
- Civil Engineering Degree
- 2 years’ plus experience in a similar position
- Proven track record of successful project delivery
- Experience in setting out
- Confident in using Microsoft Office
- Full Driving License
