Graduate/ Junior Quantity Surveyor – Co. Fermanagh
The Company
Main contractor based in Enniskillen is currently on the lookout for a Graduate or Junior QS to join their commercial team and assist on projects moving into 2023. They work on building, civils and fitout projects throughout Ireland and the UK, and have been doing so for over 60 years. They operate in a number of sectors in Education, Health & Research, Commercial, Industrial, Leisure, Culture & Arts and Residential sectors.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will bring your expertise and knowledge, to support and assist the team. Fantastic opportunity for a hardworking individual to progress their career further and gain guidance from a great management team.
The Role
- Preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
- Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation
- Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments
- Preparation of Interim valuations and final account
- Managing and valuing variations
- Assist in the production of pre-contract take-off, interim valuation and final account.
- Tracking design changes as a project evolves
- Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with subcontractors and site staff
- Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by teams, individuals and yourself
- Attend site meetings when required.
What you need
- Hold Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management
- Motivated, driven and works well within team
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word
- 1+ year’s experience
