Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Dublin

The Company

A leading fit out and property and facilities management contractor in Ireland. With experience and expertise dating back over 50 years, this contractor has adapted and evolved over time and subsequently has been rewarded with steady growth and success.

You will join the commercial team and assist with all commercial and surveying responsibilities. If you are a keen learner and enthusiastic for interior fit out this is an ideal role for you!

You will specialise ion commercial fit out and have the chance to bring your own creativity to this role!

The Role:

  • Assist with preparation of tenders and procurement of sub-contractors using Group Tender procedures
  • Assist with updating all cost control procedures, working within the guidelines in the Group policies and procedures
  • Assist with the compilation of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Responsible for general departmental administration
  • Assist with accurate costing for each aspect of project
  • Assist with compiling reports on costs and cash flows using the support systems, as well as reports for the Division as required
  • Process Subcontract orders, payments and variations, using Excel and Group payment system
  • Understand and assist with evaluation and agreement of variations and instructions for smaller trades
  • Provide other appropriate ad hoc duties, and administrative support as and when required
  • Promote and act in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Group IT systems
  • Attend team meetings as required

What you'll need:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying 2:1
  • Highly numerate, able to gather, interpret & present data to facilitate preparation of budgets and subsequent valuations
  • Methodical, conscientious and organised, works to deliver high standards
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office and Excel programs
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Strong communication skills,
  • Self-disciplined
  • Ability to multi-task, and work efficiently and accurately
  • Full Driving License
