Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Dublin
The Company
Large PQS based in Dublin are on the lookout for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor. Our client has experienced substantial growth over the last few years and adding several projects across ROI
You will work alongside Senior QS and Management assisting with the commercial aspects of all projects. You will receive mentoring from Senior Management who will impart their knowledge and support to ensure you are confidently carrying out your role and in order to build your skillset and experience to develop you within the commercial department.
The Role:
- Assist with preparation of tenders and procurement of sub-contractors
- Assist with updating all cost control procedures, working within the guidelines in the policies and procedures
- Assist with the compilation of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
- Responsible for general departmental administration
- Assist with accurate costing for each aspect of project
- Assist with compiling reports on costs and cash flows using the support systems, as well as reports for the Division as required
- Process Subcontract orders, payments and variations, using Excel and Group payment system
- Understand and assist with evaluation and agreement of variations and instructions for smaller trades
- Provide other appropriate ad hoc duties, and administrative support as and when required
- Promote and act in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with Group IT systems
- Attend team meetings as required
What you'll need:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office and Excel programs
- Able to work on own initiative
- Strong communication skills
- Full Driving License
