Job Title – Group Buyer

Job Location – Co. Armagh

Salary – £40K - £50K BOE

There is an excellent opportunity for a Group Buyer to join an expanding Manufacturing company based in Co. Armagh.

This a great opportunity to be a part of a highly dedicated team which you will assist in the day-to-day supply chain activities and ensure that those suppliers deliver on time and in full and work within a team environment.

Duties Include:

  • Report to the Senior Management of any relevant information that may be important.
  • The sourcing of potential new suppliers.
  • Managing purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules and maintaining purchase records.
  • Determine stock requirements based on demand, from this place orders.
  • Place orders with varied supply base in order to meet customer demand.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve any issues and to build upon relationships to help improve performance.
  • Keep customer service and sales fully informed on production information.
  • Liaise with other functional departments within the company to resolve any queries and streamline processes.
  • Developing and maintaining the ERP system to keep records of every buying product and updating the status of every requisition placed.
  • Ensuring parts and materials order meet correct specifications.
  • Plan, monitor and report on material levels to optimise production.
  • Identify any areas for cost saving, targeted inventory reduction or improve efficiency.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 5+ years’ experience within a Global Supply Chain environment.
  • Commercial experience with knowledge and understanding of dealing with suppliers.
  • FMCG experience required.
  • Understanding of using MRP/ERP systems.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Have good organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Full Driver’s License.
  • Flexible to travel to client sites when required.
