H&S Officer / Advisor – County Down

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a H&S Officer / Advisor to be based in County Down but with travel to sites in Dublin. The candidate will work for a Building and Civil Engineering Contractor who have an extensive amount of experience and knowledge within the industry. The client takes extreme pride in all of their projects and is known to always exceed their own client’s expectations.

The successful candidate will need to have experience in managing Health & Safety, Quality and the Environment on construction sites.

 

H&S Officer / Advisor Responsibilities:

  • Report into the Health & Safety Manager and Project Manager
  • Complete site walks, audits and inspections
  • Ensure all site staff adhere to strict regulations of Health & Safety
  • Ensure all site staff adhere to high standards of Quality
  • Manage the removal of waste and ensure it is appropriately disposed
  • Keep updated with current policies and procedures
  • Liaise with Site Management regarding any Health & Safety requirements
  • Organise Health & Safety briefings
  • Implement Method Statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc
  • Plan and Coordinate training and update paperwork accordingly
  • Provide information to support pre-qualification requirements for various clients
  • Maintain PPE Stocks, ensuring staff are well equipped for site work
  • Attend Site Meetings when needed

 

H&S Officer / Advisor Specification:

  • Health & Safety Degree / Qualification / Diploma
  • 3 plus years in a similar position
  • Experience in Quality and Environmental management  
  • NEBOSH certification - preferred
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Self-Starter and motivated to grow
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Full Driving License
