Health & Safety Advisor –Limerick
INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor for work in Limerick. The candidate will work for a Building Contractor with over 20 years’ experience in the industry. The client is well known for producing high quality projects and ensuring that their employees’ safety is always a top priority.
The successful candidate will be experienced in conducting site audits, completing reports and continually promoting Health & Safety throughout site.
Health & Safety Advisor Responsibilities:
- Report into the Health & Safety Manager
- Liaise with the Site Management team to discuss any potential hazards or risks on site and how best to minimise them
- Regularly attend site, completing audits, inspections and walk arounds of the site
- Check that all site members are adhering to Health & Safety at all times
- Complete site inductions
- Complete Health & Safety briefings
- Complete Method statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc.
- Organise training for the site teams
- Ensure all site Health & Safety paperwork is maintained and processed
- Regularly check PPE stocks, ordering in additional supplies when necessary
- Attend meetings on site
- Be the point of contact for emergency situations
- Investigate into any incidents or near-miss situations, ensuring plans are put into place to avoid further risks
Health & Safety Advisor Specification:
- Health & Safety Degree or Qualification
- 3 years plus experience in a similar position
- NEBOSH certification - preferred
- Confident in communication
- Able to work independently and be a self-starter
- Great eye for detail
- Confident in using MS Office
- Motivated to learn and grow within the role
- Full Driving License
