Health & Safety Advisor – Galway
INFORM3 are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor for work in Galway. The candidate will work for a Building Contractor who have an extensive amount of experience and knowledge within the industry. The client takes extreme pride in all of their projects and is known to always exceed their own client’s expectations.
The successful candidate will need to be well versed in health and safety regulations and procedures. The client is seeking a candidate with previous experience working in the construction industry.
Health & Safety Advisor Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Health & Safety Manager and Project Manager
- Schedule and Coordinate Health & Safety activities on site
- Keep updated with current policies and procedures
- Carry out regular site visits, inspections and audits
- Communicate with Senior Management and Site teams on Health and Safety requirements for site
- Maintain the promotion of Health and Safety on site and its presence
- Implement Method Statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc
- Plan and Coordinate training and maintain records
- Assist in emergency situations
- Report on any accidents or “near-misses”
- Complete Health & Safety briefings
- Attend Site Meetings
- Attend Health & Safety meetings
- Maintain PPE Stocks, ensuring staff are well equipped for site work
Health & Safety Advisor Specification:
- Health & Safety Degree / Qualification / Diploma
- 3 plus years in a similar position
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
- Motivated and Driven
- Able to work within a team and individually
- Full Driving License
