INFORM3 are recruiting a Health and Safety Advisor for a well-established and respected civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure and utilities projects across Dublin and the surrounding regions. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by promoting a proactive safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance, and supporting operational teams across a range of civil engineering and utility projects.

Health and Safety Advisor Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend effective control measures.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and supporting corrective actions.
  • Develop, deliver, and coordinate health and safety training, including toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Maintain accurate health and safety records, documentation, and compliance registers.
  • Monitor compliance with current health and safety legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.
  • Support site management teams in implementing best practice health and safety initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to senior management as required.
  • Report directly to the Health & Safety Manager while liaising with project managers, supervisors, and senior leadership.

Health and Safety Advisor Skills & Experience

  • Degree (Level 8) in Occupational Health & Safety, Health & Safety Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, civil engineering, or utilities.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with strong report writing and investigation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Confident delivering presentations, inductions, and toolbox talks.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience working on utilities projects, including water, electricity, telecommunications, or other civil engineering infrastructure works.
