Health & Safety Manager
Job Location: Wicklow/Dublin

 

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer for our busy civils contractor who can contribute to the Health & Safety coordination across the organisation, and in addition support and develop their policies to reduce potential risks.

The role will involve travelling to numerous sites in the greater Dublin area.  Minimum level 6 qualification in Health Safety and 2-3 years’ experience in a similar roll.

 

Health & Safety Manager Responsibilities

  • Regularly reviewing and updating company risk assessments, method statements and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Delivering Health & Safety contracts and policies.
  • Conduct weekly audits, safety inspections and daily site checks.
  • Lead and promote a culture of zero harm and continuous improvement in relation to all health and safety work practices.
  • Issue PPE as required and deliver training in correct usage and care of PPE.
  • Complete daily checks to ensure that all staff and visitors are wearing correct PPE.
  • Delivery of basic Health & Safety Training
  • Ensure compliance with all the latest health and Safety requirements
  • Contribute to the Tool Box talk topics, discussion and delivery.
  • Contribute to accident and incident investigation
  • Enforce site specific disciplinary procedures
  • Assist Health & Safety Manager to develop and implement Risk assessments
  • Ensure clear lines of communication are maintained
  • Monitor and enforce the implementation of Health & Safety Management System.

Health & Safety Manager Specification:

  • Health & Safety background within the construction sector
  • Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
  • 2 - 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) preferred
  • NEBOSH certification
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and easily with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Full Driving License
