Health & Safety Manager – Limerick

INFORM3 require a Health & Safety Manager for work on Civil projects in the Munster area. The successful candidate will work with a Civil Engineering Contractor with over 15 years of knowledge and experience in the construction industry. The client is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to work in their company office and on site, managing all aspects of Health & Safety.

The successful candidate will have a qualification in Health & Safety such as a NEBOSH, Degree or Diploma.

 

Health & Safety Manager Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Contracts Manager and Senior Management Team
  • Regularly update and maintain the company’s regulations and procedures regarding Health & Safety
  • Construct Health & Safety plans specific to each project
  • Meet with various Clients & Consultancies regarding requirements for each project
  • Liaise with Site Management regarding Health & Safety protocols and emergencies
  • Coordinate all Health & Safety activities on various sites
  • Manage and coordinate Health & Safety Officers and Advisors  
  • Ensure that regular Site Audits and Inspections are completed
  • Ensure all paperwork is updated and maintained
  • Ensure that all accidents / incidents are managed appropriately   
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors in regards to Health & Safety processes within the company
  • Coordinate training for site staff
  • Attend meetings with Senior Management discussing any Health & Safety issues
  • Attend Site Meetings
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to a strict code of Health & Safety

 

Health & Safety Manager Specification:

  • Health and Safety Degree or Qualification
  • 5 years plus experience in a similar position
  • Able manage a Health & Safety on various projects
  • NEBOSH Qualification
  • Excellent communicator
  • Self -Starter
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Full driving licence
