Health & Safety Manager – Galway

INFORM3 are seeking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager for work in county Galway. The client is seeking a Health & Safety Manager as they are undergoing major growth and are wishing to add an experienced candidate with a great interest in health & safety. The successful candidate will have a Health & Degree, Qualification, NEBOSH or diploma, they will be based between the company office and various sites when needed.

 

Health & Safety Manager Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Project and Contracts Managers
  • Remain updated with current legislation, maintaining the company’s policies and ensure they are aligned
  • Reporting to the Senior Management Team on all Health, Safety and Environmental matters
  • Complete Health & Safety plans for each project
  • Manage Health & Safety Officers / Advisors
  • Coordinate Health & Safety activities on each project
  • Hold meetings with each Health & Safety Officer / Advisor getting regular updates and advising when appropriate on Health & Safety matters
  • Attend various Sites, completing audits & inspections
  • Ensure that any and all accidents / incidents are reported and reviewed
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors in regards to Health & Safety processes within the company
  • Regularly coordinate training, ensuring staff are up to date on the various training courses and certificates
  • Maintain extremely high standards of Health and Safety throughout the entire company
  • Attend meetings with Senior Management
  • Attend on site meetings

 

Health & Safety Manager Specification:

  • Health and Safety Degree, Qualification or Diploma
  • 3 years plus experience in a similar position
  • Confident in communication and managing teams
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Highly knowledgeable in Health & Safety within construction
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Full driving licence
