Job Title: Health & Safety Manager
Job Location: Galway (with travel)
Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 D.O.E.
Sector: Education, Health, Residential & Pharma
The Role
- Ensure workplaces are audited / risk reviewed at a frequency and with intrusiveness in accordance with policy and direction set by HSEQS Director
- Monitor Health and Safety performance, attend BU meetings and prepare reports, forecasts and / or predictive analysis for regional director forums/roadshows.
- Inform the HSEQS Director if / when a site(s), a staff member or a subcontractor is displaying signs and symptoms of a concerning deterioration in standards and / or behaviours aligned to the risk profile or other significant risk.
- Assist tender and prequalification teams where requested advising on Health and Safety concerns as well as helping provide practical solutions.
- Using Pegasus and other means of CPD to keep up to date with legislation and interpretations thereof to enable the HSE Manager to provide competent Health and Safety advice to the business.
Job Requirements
- At least 10 years as a Health and Safety professional.
- Ability to liaise with external stakeholders to mitigate risk to the business.
- CMIOSH
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Extracurricular exposure to a related Health and Safety specialism e.g., BBS, Occupational Health, BIM etc.
- Ideally IEMA qualified.
