Health & Safety Officer / Manager – NI
INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer / Manager for work in NI and 1 night per month, travel to the UK. The candidate will work for a Civil Engineering Contractor with over 20 years’ experience in the industry. The client takes extreme pride in all of their projects and is known to always exceed their own client’s expectations.
The successful candidate will have previous experience managing health & safety activities within the construction industry and be highly knowledgeable in health & safety regulations.
Health & Safety Officer / Manager Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Project Manager
- Coordinate Health & Safety activities on site
- Complete reporting on findings from site inspections
- Liaise with Site Management regarding Health & Safety requirements
- Ensure Health and Safety policies are maintained and updated
- Ensure Health and Safety awareness is raised amongst management and the site teams
- Implement Method Statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc
- Organise and coordinate training for site teams
- Attend Health & Safety meetings with clients and site teams
- Coordinate Health & Safety briefings
- Coordinate Toolbox talks
- Assist in emergency situations
- Report upon on any accidents on site and investigate into the source of the issue
Health & Safety Officer / Manager Specification:
- Health & Safety Degree / Qualification / Diploma
- 3 plus years relevant experience
- Experience in managing health & safety within the construction industry
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Able to multi-task
- Confident in using Microsoft Office
- Full Driving License
