Health & Safety Officer – Kilkenny

 

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer for work in Kilkenny and further work across Ireland. The candidate will work for a Civil Engineering Contractor with great experience in the industry deriving from their highly skilled team. The client takes great interest in their staff and values hard work which they reward in kind with the opportunity to grow and progress within the company.

Due to continued demand for their services, the client is seeking a Health & Safety Officer with a background in working on construction sites specifically civils projects.

 

Health & Safety Officer Responsibilities:

  • Report into the Health & Safety Manager and Senior Management
  • Conduct regular Site Walks, Site Inspections and Audits
  • Ensure whilst on site that Health & Safety is maintained at an extremely high standard
  • Ensure all waste and materials are disposed off responsibly and carefully
  • Ensure that Health & Safety policies are regularly updated
  • Liaise with Site Management regarding current contracts and their requirements
  • Raise Health & Safety awareness amongst our management and labour force and implement requirements necessary for our obligations, which may include; Method statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc.
  • Organise training for staff and ensure paperwork is completed
  • Organise Health & Safety briefings
  • Ensure all staff have received full site inductions
  • Source and maintain PPE stocks

 

Health & Safety Officer Specification:

  • Health & Safety Degree or Qualification
  • 3 years’ plus experience
  • Experience in working within the construction industry
  • Experience in working on civil projects
  • NEBOSH certification - preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident in working within a team and independently
  • Motivated to learn and grow within the role
  • Full Driving License
