Health & Safety Officer – Cork

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer for work in Cork. The candidate will work for a Building and Fit-Out Contractor who are a specialist within the industry and known for their standards of excellence. The client takes extreme pride in all of their projects and is known to always exceed their own client’s expectations.

The client is seeking to expand their team in Cork by adding a Health & Safety Officer with previous experience in the construction industry and preferably experience on Building and Fit-Out projects.

 

Health & Safety Officer Responsibilities:

  • Report into the Health & Safety Manager and the Contracts Manager
  • Complete checks on the project to ensure it is safe for the site team
  • Conduct regular Site inspections and audits
  • Complete reporting and ensure it is processed for discussion at meetings
  • Remain up to date with current Health & Safety regulations
  • Liaise regularly with Site Management in regards to any Health & Safety requirements on site
  • Report on any “near-misses” or incidents
  • Conduct regular Health & Safety Meetings
  • Conduct Toolbox talks
  • Implement Method Statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc
  • Coordinate training and maintain the relevant records
  • Ensure Health & Safety is adhered to and at all times
  • Maintain PPE Stocks, ensuring staff are well equipped for site work

 

Health & Safety Officer Specification:

  • Health & Safety Degree or Qualification
  • Previous experience working within the construction industry is essential
  • 2 plus years in a relevant position
  • NEBOSH certification - preferred
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Confident in the use of MS Office
  • Full Driving License
