Health & Safety Officer – Donegal
INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer for a multi-million project in Donegal. The candidate will work for a Building and Civil Engineering Contractor who have a Senior Management Team with over 50 years of experience and knowledge. The client takes extreme pride in all of their projects and is known to always exceed their own client’s expectations.
Due to continued demand for their services, the client is seeking a knowledgeable Health & Safety Officer to monitor activities on site and ensure safety is a top priority.
Health & Safety Officer Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Health & Safety Manager and Site Management
- Remain up to date on all Health & Safety regulations
- Complete regular Site Inspections and Audits
- Maintain paperwork regarding site walks
- Ensure that any special requirements submitted by Site Management or the Client regarding the project are adhered to by the site teams
- Ensure Health and Safety awareness is raised amongst management and the labour force
- Implement Method Statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc
- Schedule and organise training and maintain records
- Source and maintain PPE stocks
- Be the point of contact for emergency situations
- Conduct Toolbox talks and Health & Safety briefings
- Regularly report back to the Health & Safety Manager regarding site activity
Health & Safety Officer Specification:
- Health & Safety Degree / Diploma / Qualification
- 1 plus years relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Motivated, Organised and Driven
- Team player, who has the ability to self-start and work independently
- Able to use Microsoft Office
- Full Driving License
