Health & Safety Officer – Kildare & Wexford

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer for civil projects in Kildare & Wexford. The candidate will work for a Civil Engineering Contractor who have a Senior Management Team with over 50 years of experience and knowledge. The client takes extreme pride in all of their projects and is known to always exceed their own client’s expectations.

The successful candidate will need to have a great interest in Health & Safety and be well versed in the policies and procedures for Health & Safety on construction sites.

 

Health & Safety Officer Responsibilities:

  • Report into the Health & Safety Manager and Project Manager
  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections and audits
  • Produce reports upon site visits
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies are maintained and updated
  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are adhered to on site
  • Communicate daily with Project Managers in regards to current contracts and requirements
  • Ensure Health and Safety awareness is raised amongst management and the labour force
  • Implement Method Statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc
  • Schedule and organise training and maintain records
  • Source and maintain PPE stocks
  • Conduct Health & Safety Briefings and Site Inductions
  • Attend Site Meetings
  • Attend Health & Safety Meetings

 

Health & Safety Officer Specification:

  • Health & Safety Degree / Qualification
  • 1 or more years’ relevant experience
  • NEBOSH certification - preferred
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Team player, who has the ability to self-start and work independently
  • Motivated to learn and grow within the role
  • Full Driving License
