Health & Safety Officer – NI and some travel to UK

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer for work in NI and some travel to the UK. The candidate will work for a large Building Contractor who has an extensive amount of experience and knowledge within the industry. The client takes extreme pride in all of their projects and is known to always exceed their own client’s expectations.

The client is seeking a candidate with a Health & Safety Degree / Qualification and in a similar position within the construction industry.

 

Health & Safety Officer Responsibilities:

  • Report into the Health & Safety Manager and Project Manager
  • Keep updated with current policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections and audits
  • Complete accurate reports regarding site visits
  • Communicate with Site teams on Health and Safety requirements for site
  • Maintain the promotion of Health and Safety on site and its presence
  • Implement Method Statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc
  • Plan and Coordinate training and maintain records
  • Maintain PPE Stocks, ensuring staff are well equipped for site work
  • Carry out Site Inductions, Toolbox talks and Health & Safety briefings
  • Attend Site Meetings

 

Health & Safety Officer Specification:

  • Health & Safety Degree / Qualification
  • 2 years or more in a relevant position
  • NEBOSH certification - preferred
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Full Driving License
