Health & Safety Officer – Mayo with travel
INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer for various civil and marine projects in Mayo with travel to other counties. The candidate will work for a client with great experience in the industry deriving from their management team. The client takes great interest in their staff and values hard work which they reward in kind with the opportunity to grow and progress within the company.
The successful candidate will need to have obtained a Health & Safety Qualification / Degree and experience working on a construction site.
Health & Safety Officer Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Health & Safety Manager & Project Manager
- Organise and conduct site audits & inspections
- Complete reporting upon site findings
- Remain knowledgeable regarding current health & safety policies
- Liaise with the Project Manager regarding specific requirements for each project
- Raise Health & Safety awareness amongst our management and labour force and implement requirements necessary for our obligations, which may include; Method statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc.
- Organise training and update records for staff
- Source and maintain PPE stocks
- Conduct Site inductions and Health & Safety briefings
- Attend Health & Safety Meetings
- Assist in emergency situations
Health & Safety Officer Specification:
- Health & Safety Degree / Qualification
- 1-2 years or more relevant experience
- NEBOSH certification - preferred
- Keen eye for detail
- Health & Safety conscious
- Able to work within a team
- Motivated to learn and grow within the role
- Full Driving License
