Health & Safety Officer – Northern Ireland
This is a junior position
INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer for work in across Northern Ireland. The candidate will work for a Main Contractor with extensive experience and knowledge within the construction and has grown year on year due to their high-quality standards.
The client is seeking a candidate with experience in managing health & safety activities on construction sites. The successful candidate must be flexible with travel.
Health & Safety Officer Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Project Manager and Health & Safety Manager
- Remain educated on current legislation surrounding health & safety for construction
- Conduct regular site visits, inspections and audits
- Complete reporting on site visits
- Communicate with Site Management on Health and Safety requirements for site
- Maintain the promotion of Health and Safety on site
- Implement Method Statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc
- Plan and Coordinate training and maintain records
- Maintain PPE Stocks, ensuring staff are well equipped for site work
- Conduct Health & Safety briefings and site inductions
- Attend Site Meetings
- Attend Health & Safety Meetings
- Assist in emergency situations
Health & Safety Officer Specification:
- Health & Safety Degree or Qualification
- 6 months plus in a relevant position
- NEBOSH certification – preferred or working towards
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
- Driven and motivated
- Full Driving License
