Salary – £40K-£45K

 

About the Company:     

An opportunity has arisen for the role of Health & Safety Officer to join our client working within the Construction sector for their Project in Belfast.

This is a great opportunity to promote a more influential and safer environment across the organisation and to make sure policies and procedures are implemented throughout the site.

This will be a temp role until August 2024 with opportunities for progression within the company and future projects.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Site Safety Management Team.
  • Carrying out inspections and manage and carry out a Proactive Compliance Monitoring Programme to ensure all legislations are adequate and of a high standard.
  • Ensure that project has been provided with the relevant statutory health and safety documentation.
  • Oversee development of policies/programs and to monitor and maintain effective up to date records in relation to Health, Safety and Compliance regularly.
  • Investigate and manage reports and file them accordingly through the reporting system such as accidents and incidents.
  • Deal with any health & safety issues that may arise in an efficient and effective way with a professional attitude.
  • Ensuring the site Emergency Plan & Procedures is all up to date.
  • Ensuring sub-contractor safety statement sand required Method statement are available on site and assess sub-contractor statements and method statements, assisting where required.

Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience within an HS role or Degree equivalent.
  • Experience of Health & Safety within Construction Environment.
  • Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication skills.
  • NEBOSH certification – preferred.
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work well in a team and respond to any actions that may be required.
  • Ability to hold high standards and levels of confidentiality.
  • Previous experience in carrying out audits and Health & Safety inspections.
