About the Company:
Our client is currently on the lookout for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join their team in the Dublin area. The ideal candidate must be within commutable distance and experience working on a busy site.
You will be working with one of Irelands' leading Contractors that is an award-winning developer with an impressive portfolio of completed developments across the UK and Ireland. They are one of the largest privately-owned building materials, engineering and construction groups.
The client is seeking a candidate that is confident in developing the Health & Safety aspects within the company with 5+ years’ experience within the residential sector.
Duties Include:
- Oversee development of policies/programs and to monitor and maintain effective up to date records in relation to Health, Safety and Compliance regularly.
- Investigate and manage reports and file them accordingly through the reporting system such as accidents and incidents.
- Deal with any health & safety issues that may arise in an efficient and effective way with a professional attitude.
- Ensure that everything recorded is private & confidential ensuring that the rules and regulations are followed.
- Ensuring that on-the-job training records is kept up to date.
- To provide any advice to other staff/team members on relevant information when it may be required.
- Provide information to support pre-qualification requirements for various clients.
Requirements Needed:
- Degree or equivalent within Construction Management.
- NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in overseeing overall company safety policy
- Track record in monitoring of multiple sites and various build projects.
- Ideally 5+ years' experience in construction safety.
- Experience of safety in the Irish construction sector or very similar regulatory environment is essential.
- Excellent communication skills.
