INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer for public realm projects in Cork. The candidate will work for a client with great experience and knowledge of the construction industry. The client takes great interest in their staff and values hard work which they reward in kind with the opportunity to grow and progress within the company.

The successful candidate will need to have a background in Health & Safety and be familiar with policies for construction.

 

Health & Safety Officer Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Health & Safety Manager and Project Manager
  • Regularly maintain and keep health and safety regulations updated
  • Be aware of specific requirements for each project
  • Raise Health & Safety awareness amongst our management and labour force and implement requirements necessary for our obligations, which may include; Method statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc.
  • Organise training needed and maintain records
  • Conduct site visits, audits and inspections
  • Prepare reports and paperwork
  • Source and maintain PPE stocks
  • Conduct regular site inductions and Health & Safety briefings
  • Attend Site Meetings
  • Attend Health & Safety Meetings

 

Health & Safety Officer Specification:

  • Health & Safety Degree / Qualification
  • 1+ years experience
  • NEBOSH certification
  • Excellent communicator
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Team player, who has the ability to self-start and work independently
  • Motivated to learn and grow within the role
  • Full Driving License
