Health and Safety Officer - Tier 1
Rightpath Recruitment is currently working with a Top Tier Building Contractor who now have the requirement for an experienced Health & Safety officer. The company has built projects throughout Ireland and the UK up to the value of £150M and have a proven track record in delivering the highest standards of health and safety on their site. Highly competitive salary on offer with this position.
Job Role:
The job role will include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Update and maintain health and safety policies
- Liaise with project managers regarding current contracts and their requirements
- Raise Health & Safety awareness amongst our management and labour force and implement requirements necessary for our obligations, which may include; Method statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc.
- Organise training needed and maintain records
- Site visits, assessments and reporting
- Provide information to support pre-qualification requirements for various clients
- Source and maintain PPE stocks
Qualifications & requirements:
- Health & safety related degree or similar or NEBOSH certification
- Passion for the role and to work in the construction industry
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Eager to learn and develop within the role
