INFORM3 Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Main Contractor for a Health & Safety Manager to join their growing team in Co. Offaly.

The company delivers a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, educational and industrial projects throughout Ireland and has built a strong reputation for delivering projects to the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional looking to join a progressive contractor with a strong pipeline of work and long-term career progression opportunities.

The Role

  • Ensure all sites operate in full compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments across multiple projects.
  • Lead Health & Safety meetings and prepare monthly HSE performance reports for senior management.
  • Maintain and continually improve company Health & Safety Management Systems.
  • Ensure all company accreditations and compliance requirements are maintained.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Provide guidance and support to site management teams on all Health & Safety matters.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and training initiatives across projects.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance and promote a positive safety culture throughout the business.
  • Keep up to date with legislative changes and industry best practice, ensuring company procedures remain compliant.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership of IOSH, IIRSM or relevant professional body.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and construction regulations.
  • Experience working with Main Contractors on commercial, residential or civil projects.
  • Excellent communication, reporting and organisational skills.
  • Experience maintaining and working within ISO management systems.
  • Full clean driving licence.
