HSEQ Manager / Officer

INFORM3 are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager / Officer for projects throughout across Northern Ireland with majority or project focused between Belfast and Newry. The successful candidate will work on behalf of a client that is well known throughout industry. The client is renowned for their high-quality workmanship and extremely organised approach to each project that they work on. Project values are around £10M -£20M and you will be calling to multiple sites.

The client is seeking a candidate who is extremely familiar with Health & Safety practices within construction and confident in managing all Health & Safety requirements on site.  

The successful candidate will be required to visit sites and will need to be flexible in travel.

 

Health & Safety Manager Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Contracts Manager and Senior Management Team
  • Manage and maintain the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Develop all Health and Safety plans to align with current legislations  
  • Coordinate all Health & Safety activities on various sites
  • Manage and coordinate Health & Safety Officers and Advisors  
  • Ensure that regular Site Visits and Inspections are completed and the relevant paperwork is completed
  • Ensure that all accidents / incidents are dealt with appropriately and plans are made to avoid these situations
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors in regards to Health & Safety processes within the company
  • Prepare and coordinate training for all employees
  • Attend meetings with Senior Management
  • Attend Site Meetings
  • Ensure at all times that extremely high standards are maintained throughout the company

 

Health & Safety Manager Specification:

  • Health and Safety Degree or Qualification
  • Able manage a Health & Safety team
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Full driving licence
