HSEQ Manager / Senior HSEQ Officer – Belfast
INFORM3 are currently recruiting a HSEQ Manager / Senior HSEQ Officer for residential, commercial, educational and healthcare projects in Belfast. The candidate will work for a large Building Contractor who has a long-standing history within the construction industry and well-known in Northern Ireland. The client takes extreme pride in all of their projects and is known to always exceed their own client’s expectations.
The successful candidate will be highly knowledgeable with Health & Safety on construction sites and managing Health & Safety teams.
HSEQ Manager / Senior HSEQ Officer Responsibilities:
- Report into the Senior Management Team
- Lead and coordinate Health & Safety Officers
- Construct Health & Safety plans and ensure they are actioned
- Manage Health & Safety activities on several projects
- Ensure Health and Safety policies are continually updated to current legislation
- Communicate daily with Site Management in regards to current project requirements
- Ensure Health and Safety awareness is raised amongst management and the site teams
- Implement Method Statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc
- Organise and coordinate training for the various site teams
- Coordinate site visits, assessments and reporting
- Attend Health & Safety meetings with clients and site teams
- Attend Senior Management Meetings
- Complete reporting on Health & Safety for the company
Health & Safety Manager Specification:
- Health & Safety Degree / Diploma / Qualification
- 7 years plus relevant experience
- Experience in managing a Health & Safety Team
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Able to motivate and lead by example
- Confident in using Microsoft Office
- Highly motivated and driven to succeed
- Full Driving License
