HSEQ Manager – County Down

INFORM3 are seeking to appoint a HSEQ Manager for work in County Down and travel further afield. The successful candidate will work on behalf of a client that is well known throughout Construction industry for their specialist knowledge. The client is renowned for their high-quality workmanship and extremely organised approach to each project that they work on.

The client is seeking a candidate who is extremely experienced in managing Health & Safety across a number of projects and organising Health & Safety Officers / Advisors. The successful candidate must have previous experience in a Health & Safety role within construction and flexible in occasional travel.

 

Health & Safety Manager Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Project and Contracts Manages
  • Manage and maintain the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Develop all Health and Safety plans for each individual project
  • Coordinate all Health & Safety activities on various sites
  • Coordinate Health & Safety Officers and Advisors, regularly meeting with them and gathering reports
  • Confirm that regular Site Visits, Inspections and Audits are conducted with relevant paperwork completed
  • Ensure that all accidents / incidents are handled appropriately and plans are made to avoid these situations
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors in regards to Health & Safety processes within the company
  • Prepare and coordinate training for all employees
  • Attend meetings with Senior Management
  • Conduct and chair Site Meetings discussing any pressing health & safety requirements
  • Ensure at all times that extremely high standards are maintained throughout the company
  • Assist in emergency situations

 

Health & Safety Manager Specification:

  • Health and Safety Degree / Qualification / Diploma  
  • 8 years plus experience in a similar position
  • Able manage a Health & Safety team
  • Able to work towards deadlines and targets
  • Highly knowledgeable in Health & Safety
  • Excellent communicator and highly organised
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Full driving licence
