Hygiene Manager            Newry

Our prestigious client has a new opening available due to growth and expansion.  As the Head of Hygiene, you play a critical role in maintaining high hygiene standards across all three Newry sites. Your responsibilities include managing people, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards. You’ll closely collaborate with General Managers and departmental management teams at each site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Design and embed hygiene SOPs tailored to specific business units.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to support hygiene teams across all sites.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring effective systems of work for site-specific hygiene needs.
  • Resource Solutions: Design and implement optimal resourcing solutions for individual sites and overall business requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain accurate schedules of work and regulatory record-keeping.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct internal hygiene audits across all Newry sites, providing coaching to improve performance.
  • Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
  • SOP Creation and Review: Develop and review SOPs for hygiene teams.
  • People Management: Oversee personnel responsible for hygiene.
  • Training Design and Delivery: Create and deliver departmental training.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Liaise with other departments to identify needs and troubleshoot.
  • Workforce Planning: Ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Adherence to Standards: Monitor hygiene standards and schedules.
  • Stock Control: Manage hygiene consumables.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Support and guide hygiene team members.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Hygiene Experience of 1 year
  • Exhibit focused, supportive, decisive, and relationship-building behaviours.
