The Company
One of Irelands most innovating contractors is currently on the look-out for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team for their office in Co. Cork. They operate in numerous sectors including Residential, Commercial, Education, Pharma/Hi Tech, Industrial, Retail and many others.
They are looking for a driven, problem solving, details orientated candidate to come into the business and hit the ground running and manage jobs from start to finish. The Role
- Liaise with customers and project managers
- Management of commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with customers, consultants and subcontractors
- Prepare tendering projects
- Preparing interim valuations, identifying and valuing variations
- Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations and make recommendations for placement of orders
- Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of jobs
- Assess subcontractor payment entitlement and process payments
- Work closely with contract and site management staff to support the smooth running of the office and the site, carrying out other duties as required
- Manage project performance and report to management team
- Ensuring accurate reporting
What you need
- Hold Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management
- Motivated, driven and works well within team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word
- 5+ years experience
