Job Title – Junior H&S Officer
Project – Residential & Commercial
Job Location – Laois
Salary – €35K - €45K + vehicle
About the Company
Working with a reputable Main Contractor who have a number of ongoing commercial & residential project across the midlands.
This role will be based in Co. Laois with visits to sites across Laois, Kilkenny, Carlow and Offaly.
The ideal candidate would be a Construction Management Graduate looking to specialise in the H&S Sector. Or someone who has recently completed an IOSH / NEBOSH and keen to kickstart their career.
Excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional to work under an experienced H&S Manager keen to share their knowledge.
The Role
- Report into the Health & Safety Manager
- Keep staff aware of Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Communicate with Senior Management and Site teams on Health and Safety requirements for site
- Uphold PPE Stocks, ensuring staff are well equipped for site work
- Maintain the promotion of Health and Safety on site and its presence
- Carry out method Statements, COSHH assessments, toolbox talks, O&M manuals etc
- Organise site visits, assessments and reporting
- Provide information to support pre-qualification requirements for various clients
Job requirements
- Health & Safety Qualification
- Full Driving License
- NEBOSH certification desired
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office
