Job Title – Junior Building Surveyor

Project – Residential & Commercial Projects

Job Location – Louth – Leinster

Salary – €30K - €35K

About the Company

Exciting opportunity for a junior engineer or a construction management graduate to kickstart their career in building surveying with a contractor that offers a great support network and opportunity for development. The contractor is based in Co. Louth, and all sites will be North Leinster.  

The Role

• Oversee and take responsibility for QA/QC documents for the project.
• Perform inspections and tests on works to ensure that work is to a high standard.
• Inspect the quality of materials being used on site and ensure they are compliant with project specifications.
• Undertaking building condition surveys
• Undertaking building defect diagnosis inspections
• Preparing Planned Preventative Maintenance programmes
• Preparing tender documents & schedules of work
• Contract administration & project monitoring
• Quality assurance checks of ongoing or completed works
• Preparation of budget costings for proposed projects
• Project cost management & administration
• Undertaking Insurance Reinstatement Cost Assessments for Insurance Purposes

Requirements

• A Degree in Engineering/ Building Surveying or related discipline.
• Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
• Excellent organisational skills.
