Job Title –Junior Site Engineer (Building)
Project –Commercial (Healthcare)
Job Location – Westmeath
Salary – €35K-€45K
About the Company
Fantastic opportunity to work with a Tier 1 Contractor on high value commercial projects in the Midlands. This well-established contractor is keen to take on an engineer with a few years’ experience that is looking to progress in their career.
The Role
- Setting out and checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
- Complete tasks and works in a set time frame.
- Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in in the planning and construction of the project.
- Read drawings and carry out quality check on completed works.
- Support the Project Manager/ Contracts Manager/ Senior Engineer to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
- Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
- Use and be responsible for the setting out equipment.
Requirements
- A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a site engineering role post-graduation.
- Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
- Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
