Junior Estimator – Monaghan

The Company

 A design and engineering Contractor with a global reach are on the lookout for a Junior Estimator to join their team. Joining a well-established team with Senior Estimators present to guide and train you to a professional standard. This role will provide you with an opportunity for exposure to a global market. You will assist in estimating for both residential and commercial projects.

This client has experienced impressive success and have the scope to embark on larger scale projects within a new market.

The Role

• Assist Senior Estimator in reading blue prints and technical documents
• Assisting in identifying and quantifying cost factors such as time, materials and expenses
• Carrying out research to gain data on material costs, time, materials etc
• Making recommendations on cost in order to grow profitability
• Preparing estimates and supporting documentation via computer software
• Collecting subcontractor proposals and evaluating
• Assisting with proposal preparation
• Evaluating contingency requirements
• Communication with both internal teams
• Establish relationships with key vendors
• Prepares cost analysis of material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items

What you need

• Third Level Qualification
• 1+ year estimating experience
• Excellent Communication Skills, Written and Verbal
• Proficient with estimating and design software
