Junior Health and Safety Officer                          County Armagh                                       £20-25K

An exciting new opportunity with a successful company based in County Armagh has arisen. The company are currently seeking a Graduate/Junior Health and Safety Officer to join their ever-expanding team.  

Within the role you will be required to use your existing knowledge to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture within the company’s projects.

Working alongside industry experts, the role comes a great training structure, to help gain and develop crucial skills within the job.

Responsibilities within the Role:

  • Assisting in preparing Health and Safety strategies and developing internal policy where required.
  • Develop and maintain Health and Safety audits.
  • Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced.
  • Conduct inspection of the workplace/projects, and work with teams towards continuous improvement.
  • Develop and always maintain a professional working relationship with other employees at all levels to help promote exceptional standards.
  • Promote all Health and Safety awareness and culture across the business.
  • Analyse all accident data to identify if there are any trends and introduce safe controls where appropriate.
  • Attend Health and Safety meetings within the business.

Experience and Knowledge:

The successful individual should have relevant qualifications to the role and ideally some experience in working with ISO9001 quality management systems. 1 years’ experience in a similar role would be beneficial but is not essential.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
