Junior Quantity Surveyor/Estimator County Tyrone £23-30k
A successful company based close to Dungannon, County Tyrone is recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join heir team. The opportunity has arisen due to the continued expansion of the company after winning a number of new projects.
This is a fantastic opening for an individual with the relevant knowledge to join a company with a good career progression structure where you can work alongside senior members of the team.
Responsibilities of the Role:
As the Mechanical Quantity Surveyor/Estimator you will be responsible for preparing and producing procurement and tender documentation, including estimates, bill of quantities and schedules of work as well as preparing and managing cost forecasts and cost plans for projects. You will be attended regular meetings with the clients and other team members within the department, discussing all contractual and costing issues in order to agree on the final outcomes.
This will all be supported with the guidance of a more senior colleague in the same role, providing great structure and on the job training for the successful individual.
Skills and Experience:
- Educated to either a degree level or HND/HNC in a relevant subject.
- Ideally a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying/Estimating role in the construction industry
- Exposure to the Mechanical sector highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commercially astute.
- Self-motivated.
- Good team player.
- Positive approach to work.
