Junior Pipe Designer Co. Mayo
Our client is currently recruiting for a Junior Pipe Designer to work within their Mechanical Engineering company based in Co. Mayo. They have a reputation for intelligently completed projects, successfully delivered in a variety of environments such as Education, Commercial, Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment.
This role would allow you to work on innovative and challenging projects while working closely with an experienced engineering team and industry experts.
If you have a basic understanding of pipe design and components as well as proficiency in CAD then this opportunity could be for you!
Roles & Responsibilities Include:
- Produce fabrication drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of pipe fittings.
- Basic understanding of pipe routings.
- Knowledge of pipe supports.
- Prepare material take offs, attend design and construction review meetings, site survey, assistance to site installation.
- Generate and extract isometric drawings.
Skills/Qualifications Required:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering at level 7 or 8, or a 3rd level Engineering or CAD/BIM qualification, or a trades background with suitable CAD skills
- Working experience or knowledge of industries such as pharmaceutical, data centres, water/wastewater treatment plants, or building services
- Familiar with 3D design software such as Navisworks, Plant3D, Revit and Advance steel.
- Familiarity with carbon and stainless steel, pipe supports, pipe fabrication, and installation.
