Junior Production Manager - Armagh

Production Engineer      Craigavon            £25-32k

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Production Engineer to expand their skills and progress quickly in their career.

Our client is looking for a candidate who has recently graduated, ideally with some commercial experience within the food industry that has ambitions to become a Production Manager within a few years. The successful candidate will be gaining experience in multiple areas of the business, working alongside senior staff who will mentor you through all stages of the production process.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work within multiple departments to gain an understanding of production processes and procedures
• Manage and coordinate daily duties, ensuring constant high standard of work and efficient and effective time management
• Managing and controlling workflows
• Support the department leads with planning, audit and administrative upkeep
• Scheduling and rotas
• Willing to learn the ins and outs of product quality, food hygiene and safety
• Working on continuous improvement
• Ensure good manufacturing practices are being carried out.
• Carry out and assist in training and development within the production team.
• Learn and develop site/plant management.

Key Skills

• Degree or equivalent within an engineering discipline
• 2+ years’ experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Appreciation of food safety standards
• A passion for progression and to learn new skills
• Good team working skills as well as a desire to lead a team successfully.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
